what is the purpose of the membrane surrounding the lysosome? is active or passive transport being used here ?explained

The membrane that surround lysosome is responsible for maintaining an acidic environment within the interior a proton pump. The active transport is being used since it facilitate transportation of protons into the lumen of lysosome from the cytosol of the cell. The protons are transported against their concetnration gradient.
